Aspirants for citizenship clear their doubts to lose the fear of taking the citizenship test

Charlotte, NC –  At the workshop held in Charlotte with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services(USCIS) officials immigrants of different Latin American nationalities cleared their doubts to be better prepared and “fearless” when they presented the citizenship test.

The workshop: Lose the Fear of taking the Citizenship exam held on Saturday, May 13 at the South Regional Library.  Fifty permanent residents attended interested in taking that significant step into becoming citizens.

Amra Beslagic, a bilingual USCIS official, made a presentation that included the general requirements, the process, situations that can affect the process, available resources, and the interview.

In each segment, the attendees had the opportunity to ask questions; The official answered each and every question. Later, also playing out a mock interview with some of the attendees.

The public was enthusiastic about this part of the event which helped answer some of the questions of history and civility in the United States allowing for everyone to practice.

“I found the workshop absorbing, especially how organized the program was, the collaborators are very attentive and efficient. The Immigration official clarified many doubts, “said Tulia Astudillo, of Colombian origin.

At the end of the two-hour event, officials Beslagic and Carly Dlugoszewski delivered study material to the participants, some of whom approached them to ask questions about specific situations.
