MIRA USA’s Initiative Achieves Safe Streets for Daycare Children

Dover, New Jersey – New traffic signs in an area of heavy traffic activity and danger are the concrete and visible results that MIRA USA presented to the community area of Dover, NJ.

In response to a call for help from the community, MIRA USA developed and presented the Department of Transportation of Morris County with a petition to post speed limit signs on Blackwell Street, near the nursery “Little People Academy.” Last March, the coordinator of the educational institution, made this request of MIRA USA due to her concern about the lack of these traffic signs in such a busy area and the danger it presents to children, adults and pedestrians in general.

With this outcome MIRA USA is further strengthened as a social and community advocate. MIRA USA will act as an overseer while the community awaits the “Yield to the pedestrians” sign for Blackwell Street, which the city of Dover is currently processing. MIRA USA will track the progress and ensure that the sign is properly installed.
