The Miraists enjoyed inspiring videos about the multifaceted social work which MIRA USA has been conducting in several states across the American territory in recent years, as well as the food distribution to the needy which the current national director of community services Jorge Muñoz has carried out for nearly a decade.
During the event, Jorge Munoz contacted the volunteers via Skype to congratulate them on their achievements and urged them to continue their selfless work.
Likewise, MIRA USA’s community leaders presented a recognition and tribute video, which reflected their activities of planting of shrubs and cleaning in adjoining areas of the Miami River in different areas of the city.
The video also included the presence of volunteers in events of Hands Across the Sand to reiterate their support for the increased use of reusable fuels and the reduced use of polluting fuels.
Likewise the recognition video, made by the Miraists, highlighted other activities that they have been involved with, such as the Fair of Services for Colombians abroad, public and interactive demonstrations supporting passage of the immigration reform, New Futuro College Fair, and fundraising events for the organization Voices for Children.
