Celebration of the First Cultural Festival "Colombia Contigo" in Sarasota

SARASOTA, Fla – As Colombia’s day of the independence draws near, Miraists in Sarasota held the First Cultural Festival “Colombia Contigo” (Colombia With You) on July 14, at the Ramada Inn Hotel, with the participation of art exhibitors, folk music singers, traditional dances, as well an exquisite gastronomic sample.

More than 450 participants enjoyed an afternoon that achieved to highlight the best of the Colombian culture in a family atmosphere full of joy.

Among the activities was the participation of the Spanish magician Borjini, who managed to captivate children and adults with his performance of talent and charisma.

The art exhibition was no exception; a good number of artists gathered at the festival, including painters, sculptors and artisans who had the opportunity to show their works to the public, as well, as to the different sponsors.

Contests were held at the end of the event for the best Colombian traditional costume, and the best work of art or painting in categories for adults and children. The prize for each of the winners, was a cruise trip to the Bahamas 3 days and 2 nights.
