On October 25, 2025, MIRA USA hosted the “Fundamentals of Personal Finance” workshop in Orlando, Florida — a free educational event designed to equip community members with essential tools to strengthen their financial well-being and promote responsible money management.
The session was led by financial advisor Ángela Cano, representative of Northwestern Mutual, and welcomed more than 30 participants eager to learn how to better organize their income, manage expenses, and develop effective savings strategies.
Throughout the workshop, participants explored the importance of setting clear and achievable financial goals, as well as building a strategic budget to support informed and sustainable long-term decision-making.
A key focus of the discussion was financial preparedness for unexpected situations, highlighting the value of life and health insurance as preventive tools to protect families and ensure economic stability during times of risk.
The workshop also fostered an open and engaging environment for dialogue, where attendees shared personal experiences, concerns, and practical strategies to improve their relationship with money. This exchange enriched the session and strengthened the sense of community among participants.
Through this initiative, MIRA USA reaffirms its commitment to financial education, promoting individual and collective progress while providing practical resources that contribute to the overall growth and quality of life of the immigrant community in the United States.
