This garden was adopted in April 2018 in order to provide education and create a sustainable model for organic gardening, native landscaping, and related technologies while providing opportunities to participate in healthy outdoor activities, responsible environmental stewardship, growing organic food, and community building.
In this first workshop, we learned about making compost, making the seeds, sowing the vegetables, taking care of the plants, and harvesting. In addition, each participant planted 4 seeds of radishes in containers provided by MIRA USA for their own care and consumption.
These workshops seek to make people aware of the importance of appreciating, caring, protecting and loving our nature, as the source of life and consumption for ourselves and future generations. The next workshop will be held in a few weeks.
