Luis Avila, American Red Cross Operations’ Director in New York, commended the support MIRA USA provided to both the Red Cross and the community with more than 500 volunteers in the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) who worked in the affected areas.

Red Cross representatives stated the need to continue working alongside with MIRA USA. The first step will be to provide training to MIRA USA members so they may offer a greater support in cases of emergency.

Jorge Munoz, MIRA’s Community Services Director attended the acknowledgement event, along with other local MIRA USA members.
