A Taste of Talent and Gastronomy: First Cultural Festival "Colombia Contigo" in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla – The Independence of Colombia has been one of the most celebrated Hispanic historic dates in the United States, the love from its citizens towards their nation is contagious among Hispanics from all nations. Several festivals with musical content are common on July, but not all in Tampa highlight the rich cultural and gastronomic content as it was demonstrated by the MIRA USA organization with the celebration of its first cultural festival “Colombia Contigo” (Colombia With You).

Organized by the different regions of Colombia, the festival offered a better insight of the customs, food, typical garments, artistry and traditional dances of this wonderful country full of amiable and helping people. As a way to convey the cultural values to the new generations, a group of beautiful girls between the ages of 2 to 11 walked on the stage with elaborated typical dresses such as cumbia among others, they received standing ovations from the public who chose little Mariana as the winner of the best typical dress of the event.
The participation of several artists and the courage of attendees to show their talent and fierce karaoke contest was a highlight as well. The winners of each contest were awarded with excellent prizes including an amazing 3 day – 2 night Cruise to the Bahamas awarded to one of the attendees at the end of the festival.
