WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Given the need for more knowledge regarding the healthcare reform, which will be in full effect early 2014, MIRA USA held a workshop aiming to inform the community about the implications and the benefits that the Affordable Healthcare Act, also known as ObamaCare, is going to bring.

Close to forty people attended the event, which took place on November 16 at the Okeechobee Public Library. The workshop was lead by Legal Aid’s attorney Vicki A. Tucci, and Blue Cross Blue Shield representative Luz Ruiz-Nilof.

During the session, the participants were presented with an informative video regarding the legal aspects of the new health reform. At the end of the workshop, the speakers answered questions regarding the eligibility parameters and the application process for health insurance. MIRA USA will continue holding events with the intention of guiding the community toward the pursuit of a better quality of life.
