Queens, NY – Last month at Elmhurst Hospital, MIRA USA conducted the second Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training promotion, about health and safety in the construction industry.
During the course, OSHA instructor, Luz Ochoa Brito, trained workers and employers in the recognition, prevention and mitigation of the health and safety risks in the workplace, which helps companies and employees comply with the Law of Occupational Health and Safety.
The program also provided information about the rights of workers, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. Upon completion of the training, each student received a certificate that allows them to work in the construction area.
Again MIRA USA aims for the welfare of the community by educating and training in health and social security.
