Third Training Session on Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA)
Queens, NY – On December 19th at Elmhurst Hospital, MIRA USA held the third promotion of the training on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) about health and safety in the construction industry.

The training was taught by the OSHA instructor, Luz Ochoa Brito, and aimed to help both workers and employers to know and apply the Law on Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace.
The main topics were: risks and safety in the workplace, how to claim rights or file a complaint with OSHA office, and rights that are taken during an inspection.
MIRA USA to date has directly benefited over one hundred employees in the construction industry, mostly immigrants from Latin countries, who have received their OSHA certificate of completion.
With this program, MIRA USA continues knocking on doors that lead to a better future for the immigrant community in the United States.
