MIRA Informs: COVID-19 Relief Fund in Harris County

In the city of Houston and its surrounding areas.

1. Harris County established the COVID-19 Relief Fund to provide much-needed relief to residents most impacted by the global pandemic.

a. The $30 million fund is open to all eligible low-income Harris County residents (regardless of status), including immigrant and mixed status households; as well as applicants ineligible for unemployment.

b. People eligible MUST:

i. Live in Harris County.
ii. Have experienced negative economic impact related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
iii. Have a household income below 60%.
iv. And, Not received benefits from the Rental and Utility Assistance Programs, or Small Business lending Program.

c. The online application will open here on www.harriscountyrelief.org on Tuesday, June 23 at 6:00am, and close on Wednesday, June 24 at 10:00pm.

i. If you want to make your application by phone, you must be very attentive to this website where will be published the number to call.

The Phone Application Hours are: June 23 from 6:00am to 2:00pm and June 24 from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.
