To combat residents’ economic hardships caused by COVID-19 the governor of New Jersey, Phil Murphy, has established the short-term rental assistance program, which will be launched on June 15, 2020. This program will temporarily aid moderate- and low-income homes, or those who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program will provide rent assistance for three months, with the possibility of an additional 3 months.

More information about eligibility, frequently asked questions, and how to apply will be available on June 15, 2020. The applications will be taken by phone or online starting July. Every applicant must provide information about their home
