Houston, TX – On Saturday, August 13, MIRA USA held a conference called: “Financial Aid: Myths and Realities” in the Kendall Neighborhood Library, in the city of Houston, Texas.

The free lecture of two hours of duration and offered in Spanish had the opportunity to inform the community about the process, requirements and benefits to different possibilities to obtain financial aid for access to higher education.

The event consisted with a conference speaker, Dr. Susy Brown, education specialist and relocation of the organization. Education4all (International Education Consulting), also with the attendance of Sepulveda, Volunteer Organization “Hispanic Heritage Foundation” and Dr. Helladius Ibarguen- President of the organization “Cascajal Foundation”.

At the end of each topic, participants had the opportunity to remove their doubts and concerns by asking questions to the speakers. Also, information was given to make it easier for members to apply for these financial aids.

The event had 52 people attend, and participants expressed their satisfaction with the conference, as it was highly motivated and of great benefit to both parents and students.
