Elizabeth, NJ – More than 30 miraists from Elizabeth and Dover, woke up early one morning and made it their goal to beautify the Elizabeth train station through another environmental cleaning activity.
This day served as a mean to increase public environmental awareness. Both the miraists’ outfits, made of recyclable material and the actual cleaning that was done attracted the attention of several commuters. This activity was sponsored by the Department of Sanitation and Recycling of the city, from which they were able to obtain all the materials needed with the help of the coordinator, Mr. Pat Vella. This speaks to the commitment MIRA USA continues to have, after having been granted the “Carmine Valiente” award by the municipality.
