On April 12, 2025, MIRA USA’s Miami office hosted the workshop “Overcome the Fear of the Citizenship Exam” in Miramar, Florida, supporting U.S. permanent residents who are preparing to take the important step toward naturalization.
The workshop addressed one of the most common barriers in the naturalization process — fear of failing the citizenship exam — by providing participants with practical, hands-on preparation. Activities included guided practice with the N-400 application, review of the 100 U.S. civics questions, and reading and writing exercises, all facilitated by MIRA USA’s bilingual volunteers.
Participants also took part in a simulated naturalization interview and oath ceremony, allowing them to experience the exam process in a supportive and realistic environment. Approximately 25 community members benefited from the session, which was led by a certified MIRA USA representative who offered expert guidance on immigration procedures, answered questions, and addressed individual concerns.
By the conclusion of the workshop, attendees reported feeling more confident and prepared to complete their citizenship exam and move forward in achieving their goal of becoming United States citizens.
