It was supported by immigration officer Mayra E. Millán V., a bilingual officer who took the time to share all of her knowledge on the following topics: who qualifies to apply for citizenship, the preparation the applicant must take , what should be done in terms of documents for the application, as well as for the day of the exam, and what to expect on the day of the exam. The officer was also very willing to answer questions, helping not only the participants to clarify their doubts, but also training the volunteers.
A special thanks to Soraya Márquez for her hard work educating our Hispanic community and the great benefit generated by the complement of MIRA USA services. Likewise, for the Consul of Mexico Juan Sabines Guerrero for having arranged the space for this event, and also for giving his support and being present at the event.
During the workshop, attendees had the opportunity to meet with the volunteer tutors, who guided them and helped them to study the civic questions and questions of the N-400 form. Then the participants were taken individually to a room with the official volunteers, where they were given a simulation of what the citizenship interview will be like on the day they are cited.
At the end of the workshop, the people expressed their great appreciation and their love for the morning shared with MIRA USA and recognized the great contribution that the organization makes through these workshops.
