Miraists volunteers were there from 7:00 a.m. to help in different tasks, such as checking that the Ecuadorians were registered to vote, that they had the required documents, and guiding them to the corresponding polling station.
“The help of MIRA USA volunteers is very important, they are always very organized and they know what they have to do, so the activities are successful,” said Aracely Pacheco, director of the Casa del Ecuatoriano Foundation, which was in charge of the organization of the event.
Members of the General Consulate of Ecuador, as well as the consul Juan Rafael Arcos Tuitza, traveled from Atlanta (Georgia) to carry out the day that took place in a commercial space in the South End of Charlotte and which lasted until 7:00 p.m.
MIRA USA has been collaborating for six years in different consular and electoral activities that this local Ecuadorian foundation has helped to organize, among them mobile consulates and presidential elections in Ecuador.
