{"id":4285,"date":"2018-07-31T02:33:25","date_gmt":"2018-07-31T02:33:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mirausa.net\/?p=4285"},"modified":"2025-05-04T23:32:52","modified_gmt":"2025-05-05T04:32:52","slug":"mira-usa-participates-in-celebration-of-the-colombia-independace-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mirausa.net\/?p=4285","title":{"rendered":"MIRA USA Participates in Colombia Independence Day Celebration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4286\" src=\"https:\/\/mirausa.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Registrando-a-los-invitados-1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Charlotte, NC &#8211;<\/strong> The enthusiasm, joy and commitment that characterizes Miraists was captured during the cocktail of independence of Colombia which was carried out by the group \u201cColombian Leaders\u201d in Charlotte on July 19<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>The event took place at the iconic Levine Museum of the New South located in the heart of Charlotte, where about 200 people came to enjoy a solemn program led by Colombians Roc\u00edo Gonz\u00e1lez, executive director of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Charlotte (LACCC), and Carlos S\u00e1nchez, vice president of External Affairs for AT&amp;T.<\/p>\n<p>Click<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/mirausa\/albums\/72157698022664191\"> here<\/a> to see the photos<\/p>\n<p>The Miraists were responsible for leading some tasks, from being hosts responsible for registering and placing a tricolor pennant on each guest, to the handling of audio and video, and even arranging and decorating the tables.<\/p>\n<p>MIRA USA also had an information table as one of the sponsoring entities this year, as well as the opportunity to present their organization to the public.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The work of the people of MIRA USA was impeccable and important to make the event successful,&#8221; said Oscar Saavedra, executive of PNC Bank, main sponsor of the cocktail.<\/p>\n<p>The celebration began at 6:00 p.m. and lasted until 9:00 p.m., included video greetings of various dignitaries such as Juan David Velez, representative of Colombians abroad, the consul Bladimiro Cuello and Vi Lyles, mayor of the Queen City, and the presentation from Federico R\u00edos, Director of Diversity of the city of Charlotte.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise were the presentations of the Colombian singers Ana Lucia Divins, and Yussely Forero, who interpreted the national anthems of the United States and Colombia, as well as the musical show of Laura Villamil, accompanied by guitarist H\u00e9ctor Cort\u00e9s Padilla.<\/p>\n<p>The guests enjoyed snacks and Colombian desserts offered by the restaurant Los Paisas and Manolo\u00b4s Bakery, and were able to socialize and participate in various drawings at the end of the event, among them for a certificate for a dinner for two people at the restaurant Lucianos, on behalf of MIRA USA.<\/p>\n<p>The evening turned out to be an important window for MIRA USA, as well as an opportunity to display, with its volunteers, the values of Miraism.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Charlotte, NC &#8211;
