On July 20, 2024, MIRA USA-Charlotte organized the workshop “Tools for Managing Student Debt and Other Loans” at the South Park Regional Library in Charlotte, NC. The session was led by volunteers trained through the FDIC’s “Money Smart” program. Participants learned about various charges on loan statements, consequences of missed payments, debt management, and tools for debt repayment. The workshop concluded with panelists answering questions on money management and debt reduction strategies. The event provided practical information to help attendees improve their financial situations and was well-received by the community.
