
Rockville, MD – MIRA USA participated in a free workshop about FAFSA and higher education given at Magruder High School on December 2, 2017. In the event were present Leroy Evans, Principal of Magruder High School in Montgomery County in Maryland; María Socorro García, Counselor of the english as a second language program in Montgomery County; Teresa Wright, Parent Coordinator at the Montgomery County Public Schools; the University Ana G. Méndez and Laura Hoyos, miraist and speaker of the higher education workshop.

The workshop was divided into three sessions; the first, on higher education; the second, on FAFSA and scholarships and the third, careers offered by the Ana G. Méndez University. Families of Magruder High School and students participated in the workshop and they received help from miraists to fill out the FAFSA. The attendees appreciated the help of MIRA USA and successfully completed their application.
