Rockville, MD – Acting with environmental consciousness and enthusiasm, Miraists of Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC, conducted the Potomac River cleanup, which is one of the longest rivers to reach the U.S. Atlantic coast.

MIRA USA held the event in the country’s capital at the Canal National Historical Park, in partnership with the Potomac Conservancy on Saturday, April 19.

Miraists and park workers gathered trash from the trails and riverside. They collected wood and cleaned debris from picnic areas that were affected by super storm Sandy. In addition, the MIRA USA team members helped remove invasive plants along the Capital Crescent trail.
