On January 12th and 19th, 70 MIRA USA volunteers of NYC completed 10+ hours of Mass Care Training with the Red Cross Greater New York Chapter. During this training, our volunteers learned ample information about natural and man-made disasters, which included:
- Disaster cycle
- The importance of the community
- Shelter operations
- How to help others in times of stress
Our volunteers certified by the American Red Cross are ready to serve our community if and when disaster strikes.
