MARGATE, Fla. – On March 10, Miraists of Margate, FL received a cordial greeting from Roy Gold, the mayor of Coral Springs, for their valuable contribution as volunteers of the 35 th annual cleaning of Broward County waterways. This is one of the largest environmental activities that take place in the county because it encompasses twenty-four municipalities in the area.
The work performed by the Miraists lasted three hours and consisted of cleaning the navigable channel and removing waste such as bicycles, shopping carts, boats and large quantities of plastic material. Such work strengthened the environmental awareness of both the Miraísts and other community members who expressed, “we are very proud of the great effort made by MIRA USA”.
