Miami, FL – On April 6, 2013, hundreds of people of different nationalities gathered at Jose Marti Park, and marched on Miami’s streets toward Bayfront Park showing support for a comprehensive immigration reform, that opens a pathway for millions of undocumented immigrants in the United States to achieve citizenship status.

“Now is the time,” “Stop deportation” and “I want my family united,” were some of the slogans with which the demonstrators asked for a change of legislation.

This pacific march was organized by the Florida Immigration Coalition and supported by Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado.

Participants directed their voice to Senator Marco Rubio for about two hours. The demonstrations will continue on April 10 and a caravan is being organized to go up to Washington DC.
